We’re looking for theatre makers, performance creatives and those who use live Art to tell stories. The Old Town Hall wants to connect with freelancers in Wiltshire, or within a 15 mile radius of Trowbridge.
July 2025 sees The Old Town Hall in Trowbridge reopen after an exciting 2-year renovation programme, and we want to take the opportunity to identify local creatives, including freelancers working in live performance to:
- Consider how we can build and develop relationships with local artists.
- Learn more about their practice/challenges of working in rural areas.
- Explore ways in which the Old Town Hall might help develop and support the ideas of local artists
- Learn what you do and offer you a chance to create, develop and work with others.
Initially we are hosting a greet and create, a three-hour session where we will explore what creatives need in and around Trowbridge. Attendees will be paid £100 for their time and there will be spaces for 10 people at each session.
Sessions will be held on the following dates:
- Wednesday 16 April (Trowbridge)
- Friday 25 April (Chippenham)
- Sunday 27 April (Trowbridge)
If you’re interested in being involved, please complete the short application form by Friday 21 March and we’ll be in touch.
If you’re unable to make any of the focus groups there will be an opportunity to attend other elements e.g. scratch night/funding session/ creative practice training. So please do complete the form, we’re keen to reach as many people as possible.
This is a Theatre Nation Partnerships Innovation Fund project, supported by the National Theatre and funded by Arts Council England.
Many thanks and we look forward to hearing from you!
