Experimental Drawing Sessions
(Wednesdays: 2 Nov, 9 Nov, 30 Nov, 7 Dec 10am – 1pm)
£15/session materials incl.
These experimental drawing sessions will be a – brief! – introduction to the enormous possibilities and aspects of drawing. We’ll experiment in a range of media, techniques and processes. There will be Surrealist party games and automatic drawing – drawing in response to text and music – drawing from memories and half-rememberings and semi forgotten dreams – drawing from films and/or props. Each session we’ll get out all the charcoals, pencils, inks and chalks and put them down on a ranges of surfaces. No previous experience necessary – just a want to play with materials and to explore drawing processes.

About Alison Ballance: I am a practising artist working in drawing, art writing, photography, painting and textiles. I am passionate about making art in supportive group environments and love teaching experimental art techniques. I am a graduate from Goldsmiths MFA Fine Art and Chelsea College of Art and Design BA Fine Art Painting and have recently moved to Trowbridge.
