The adaptation of the classic novel ‘A Christmas Carol’ by Charles Dickens is presented this time performed by The Muppets, with Kermit the Frog playing Bob Cratchit, Michael Caine as Ebenezer Scrooge, Gonzo playing Dickens, and Miss Piggy playing Mrs. Cratchitt. Other Muppets, Fozzie Bear and Sam the Eagle, weave in and out of the story.
The tale set on Christmas Eve, in nineteenth century London, follows with some concessions the original book and is a great introduction to young audiences to the classic story.
A bad-tempered and ambitious Scrooge doesn’t share the joy of Christmas, but will change for good after encounters with the ghosts of his late business partners and the visits from spirits of three Christmases past, present and future.
The film is the feature debut of director Brian Henson and has won awards as ‘The Best film for Families’. It will be presented in a relaxed screening suitable for young children and carers.
