Join us on a tour of Trowbridge Town Hall – a building filled with history. Previously home of the local government, the base of Trowbridge Urban District Council, the local Magistrates’ Court, Coroner’s Court and County Court. It was also a major public venue for all kinds of cultural and civic occasions in the 1960s featuring the Top Twenty Club and performances from bands such as The Who!
Originally built “for the benefit of the inhabitants of the town” – come and hear about its journey through the years and see how the building is currently used with the same intentions Sir William Roger Brown originally had in mind.
Tours are at 11am & 12pm on the first Saturday of the month and will last roughly 30 minutes.
If you’d like to guarantee a space please book in advance, but please feel free to come along on the day.
Trowbridge Town Hall is a particularly challenging building for those who are unable to use stairs. Please get in touch to arrange a tour of our accessible areas.
