Trowbridge Environmental Community are delighted to announce the launch of the Trowbridge Repair Café. With generous support from Bath & West Community Energy Fund we will be running 4 Repair Cafes throughout 2022, kindly hosted by Trowbridge Town Hall, plus a community cycle event during the national Big Green Week in September.
The Repairs Café aims to bring people together to learn new skills and breathe a new lease of life
into tired and worn household items.
Our cafes will all have a selection of skilled and knowledgeable repairers, and will each incorporate a
themed stall, activity, or crafts person.
The first café will be held on Saturday 19th March at Trowbridge Town Hall between 10am and 3pm.
The café will highlight the themes of spring and gardening, and will feature tool sharpening and repairs, and a seed and plant swap in collaboration with The Big Community Grow.
There will be a reduced drink and cake offer from the Free Range Café for all who bring in an item for repair.
Future cafes will be:
Saturday 25th June 10am – 3pm – to include a clothes swap and fashion event.
Sunday 25th September 10am – 3pm – Bicycle Repair Café followed by Tour de Trowbridge Community cycle event.
Saturday 26th November 10am – 3pm – to include a nearly new toys exchange and Christmas crafts.
