Before our exciting 18 month refurbishment began, the Town Hall was home to a whole host of community groups, from yoga and Tai Chi, to drawing classes and kids groups. Below you’ll find a list of our community hirers, and where they can be found during our temporary closure. . . 

Art Class with Ali Ballance

Local artist Alison is passionate about making art in a friendly group environment and loves teaching watercolour and drawing.

Alison’s classes and workshops an now be found at Court Street Gallery.

Music for the Mind with Alzheimer’s Support

Led by Alzheimer’s Support, Music for the Mind is a friendly, supportive group for those living with dementia.

Music for the Mind can now be found at Alzheimer’s Supports’ Mill Street club.

Trowbridge Rock Choir

Rock Choir is all about singing, fun, your local community, friendship and life-changing experiences!

Trowbridge Rock Choir can now be found at The Civic Centre.

Tai Chi with Peter Evans

These Tai Chi classes aim to improve your breathing, balance, posture and co-ordination.

Peter’s Tai Chi classes can now be found at Christchurch School in Bradford-on-Avon.

Barclays Bank Local Service

The Barclays Local service is designed to provide easy access for customers with digital and complex banking needs, with colleagues offering face to face financial support and education for customers.

Barclays Local Service can now be found at The Civic Centre.

B-Smart Ballers

Most children will be kicking and throwing a ball of some sort as soon as they can walk. Football is a great sport for children as it helps improve coordination, balance and movement. Plus it helps build strength and fitness. Oh, and it’s a lot of fun too!

Sevi’s Yoga

Sevi’s yoga classes focus on restoring the natural movement patterns and fluidity of the body, rewiring the nervous system and re-mapping good movement patterns to undo the not very useful habits.

Rock Project

The Rock Project is a fun, interactive group for ages 7 – 18. Come along and learn drums, bass, guitar and/or vocal from a professional instrumental tutor.

Moo Music

Moo Music is a fun, friendly, and interactive music and multi-sensory class for 0 to 5 year old children and their parents, grandparents or carers too, where the children sing, dance, play and learn.

Trowbridge Town Singers

A choir with no auditions, where absolutely anyone is welcome to come along and sing!

Taoist Movements

By practicing eleven distinct movements, our body regains a better state of health and greater vitality; positively affecting our energy levels, blood circulation, nervous system, immune system, glands, organs and emotions.

Trowbridge Service Users Group

TSUG is a Peer-2-Peer mental health support group providing friendship and support with fun activities to all those living with mental illness in Trowbridge.

TSUG can now be found at The Cabin, Seymour Road.

Artists’ Café

This is an informal drop in session where you can share news and ideas, discuss your practice and artistic challenges and find out about artistic opportunities.

Tea Dance

Take part in a mixed programme of dances, under the guidance of experienced teachers Mike and Lesley Freke. This is an enjoyable afternoon with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Vitality Yoga

A Vinyasa style class to increase vitality and put a spring in your step, recharge your energy, get unstuck and find ease in moving on the wave of the breath.
