During the current major refurbishment of the Town Hall, Trowbridge Town Hall Trust Ltd (The Trust) would like commission an artist to design and construct two panels, each of which must be 250cms in height and 160cms in width, that constitute a contemporary interpretation of the existing stained-glass window overlooking the building’s main staircase.
Each panel should be constructed in such a way the stained-glass can be illuminated from within by LED lighting. In common with The Trust’s commitment to environmental sustainability, the panels should be constructed from recycled stained-glass, and work completed to the satisfaction of the Trust by Friday, June 6th 2025.
Those choosing to tender for the project must demonstrate the scope of their previous work in designing and constructing a similar scale of stained-glass art, as well as listing those public exhibitions where their work has been displayed. Each tender must be accompanied by a CV and a brief outline of the approach that will be adopted in conceptualising the work.
