Along with major arts organisations representing the people of Sunderland, Doncaster and Stoke-on-Trent, Trowbridge Town Hall Trust has been invited by the National Theatre to participate in one of the most exciting community collaborations ever attempted in the UK. Each of the towns has been given a section of Homer’s Odyssey to interpret into a modern story, informed and performed by local residents, working alongside playwright and former Trowbridge College student, Florence Espeut-Nickless and award-winning director, Jesse Jones. If you are interested in participating in the project in whatever capacity, or just curious about it, we would like to welcome you to a public meeting at Trowbridge Town Hall on Wednesday June 1st at 6pm. Join us on a journey that will be every bit as epic as the Odyssey itself.
