Watercolour Class: Underland
Mondays | 20th, 27th Feb 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th March | 10am – 1pm
£120 materials incl.
Experimental and creative watercolour techniques to paint the landscapes beneath our feet. Discover the potential of watercolour landscape painting in a process-led and exploratory way. We’ll look at alternative mark making, texture, colour and surfaces. These sessions aim to be as accessible as possible in a supportive environment. Beginners are very welcome – do touch base beforehand to make sure it’s the right course for you.
*This group of watercolour workshops has taken its title and structure from the nature writer Robert Macfarlane’s book ‘Underland’. Reading this book is not needed for the course! It’s very great read nonetheless.

About Alison Ballance: I am a practising artist working in drawing, art writing, photography, painting and textiles. I am passionate about making art in supportive group environments and love teaching experimental art techniques. I am a graduate from Goldsmith MFA Fine Art and Chelsea College of Art and Design BA Fine Art Painting and have recently moved to Trowbridge.
